GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Police said two women attacked and punched the officers who tried to arrest them outside of Haywood Mall on Wednesday.

Greenville police said the women were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct following a wreck along the perimeter road at the mall. Police said they were first called to the mall about the collision.

After investigating the crash, police said they told 22-year-old Megan Inabinet that she was at fault. Officers said she became irate and started cursing, they warned her to stop, and when she didn't, they tried to arrest her. Officers said Inabinet resisted, striking one of them in the face.

At that time, police arrested the other woman, 27-year-old Andrea Butler, on the disorderly conduct charge, prompting her to hit the officer, punching him several times, according to police.

Both Butler and Inabinet were finally taken into custody and also charged with assaulting an officer while resisting arrest.
