EASLEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Troopers said a Liberty man died and his son was injured in a single-vehicle crash Friday morning along an icy highway.
The crash happened just after 11 a.m. along U.S. 123 outside of Easley at the 16-mile marker.
Troopers said the man was driving a Ford pickup truck northbound when he lost control, ran off the right side of the road and overturned.
They said the passenger was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital with injuries.
Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley said the driver was James Carroll, 52, and he was not wearing his seatbelt when the crash happened.
