Sleet and freezing rain are moving through the Upstate now. Sleet has left many yards and patios in the northern Upstate covered! This should end for the Upstate around 4:30 pm, and exit the 85 corridor by 3:30! The road danger will last all night, as bridges and overpasses will stay icy and roads in the northern Upstate will be generally slick.
The mountains will have widespread, slippery conditions through about 9am tomorrow, while the Upstate will see more isolated stuff.
Isolated rain and freezing rain will be possible through the evening, but nothing widespread and it should be light.
So, if you have Friday evening plans, you may not see a whole lot falling from the sky, but be assured that roads won't be in ideal condition for travel. Maybe make it an excuse to stay in and watch a good movie!
