Jordan Parker (Clemson University Police Dept.)
CLEMSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A Clemson University student was arrested early Saturday morning after he became belligerent outside a residence hall.
According to an incident report from university police, patrolling officers heard someone yelling obscenities and beating on glass behind Sanders Hall about 3:45 a.m. The report said that when officers arrived they found a drunken 20-year-old Jordan Parker, of Nashville, TN, swinging his arms and shouting, while two other men tried to calm him down. The officers noticed two security cameras at the hall had been damaged, and the two men told officers that Parker was responsible, according to the report.
Officers arrested Parker and put him in the back of a patrol car, but he was able to get out of the car and assault one of the officers, according to the report. The report said that when officers tried to put Parker back in the vehicle, he kicked another officer's leg.
Parker was charged with resisting arrest and two counts of malicious injury to personal property. He was released from jail on $8,392.50 bond.
The case has been referred to the university's Office of Community and Ethical Standards for review.
