BOILING SPRINGS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said they were called to a Boiling Springs woman's home Tuesday night after she found what looked like a homemade bomb.

Spartanburg County deputies said they were called to a home on Laurelwood Drive about 7:30 p.m. and the bomb squad was brought in.

The squad determined that the device, while it looked like a bomb, was empty and did not have any explosive material, deputies said. They were able to move it to a safer location to examine it.

Boiling Springs firefighters and paramedics were also called in to help at the home.

Deputies said the woman could not think of anyone who might be upset with her.
