Timing for Squall Line of Storms

Stay Alert:  As of early afternoon, we are continuing to monitor a squall line of intense storms currently situated to our west.  Due to the unnatural feel of warmth and near-muggy conditions outside, we'll all need to stay alert for strong and severe storms later today.  Stay with Fox Carolina on-air and foxcarolina.com for the latest watches and warnings as those are issued.

Western NCHigh winds continue to howl across the Mountains and winds will continue to be a threat through this evening.  Unfortunately, high winds have already produced power outages as well as damage in some places, especially west of Asheville.

NE GeorgiaStorms will move into most Northeast Georgia comm unties between 1pm and 5pm.  Heavy rain, along with high, gusty winds and a lesser tornado threat are possible.  The primary threat will be wind damage.

UpstateA squall line of storms will roll through Upstate towns between 3pm and 8pm.
