1 injured when police chase ends in crash

POWDERSVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

One person was injured when a motorcycle being chased by troopers crashed in Anderson County on Wednesday morning.

Troopers said that when a they tried to stop a motorcycle on state Highway 124 in Pickens County, the driver sped away. They said the chase ended when the motorcycle crashed near the intersection of Old Pendleton and Brushy Creek roads in Anderson County.

Troopers said the motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Officials said the driver's license had been suspended and the motorcycle had been reported stolen.

Anderson County deputies are investigating the crash.

Neither the name of the driver nor his condition were immediately released.
