Woman thrown from car in fatal Simpsonville crash

SIMPSONVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A woman died after she was thrown from her car in a rollover crash early Thursday morning, troopers said.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said she was driving south on West Georgia Road when the car ran off the right side of the road. The driver overcorrected, and the car hit a ditch just before 3:40 a.m. Troopers said the car rolled multiple times, ejecting the woman.

She was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene, troopers said.

Her name has not yet been released.
