WAYNESVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -
In Haywood County, a boulder has fallen onto U.S. 74, blocking part of the highway near Waynesville.
The rock slide is just past exit 98, closing the right westbound lane of 74, which is also the southbound side of U.S. 23.
Crews are out on the scene working to clear the boulder out of the road.
Transportation officials said they expect the lane to be cleared by about 5 p.m.
