MOORE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
An Inman woman was killed in a crash on Interstate 26 in Spartanburg County on Thursday.
The crash happened at 1:22 p.m. on the westbound side of the interstate near mile marker 31.
Troopers said a car was traveling east on I-26 when for some reason the driver crossed the median and into the westbound lanes. They said the car then hit the front of a tractor trailer before ending up in some nearby woods.
The driver of the car, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to troopers. Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger identified the driver as 72-year-old Elizabeth Latta.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
Troopers were investigating the crash.
