WELLFORD, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg County deputies said the victims of a violent home invasion will be charged after drugs were found inside their home Tuesday.

Deputies said three masked men barged into a home on Windmill Drive near Wellford and shot the man who lives there in the ankle about 3 a.m. then fled the scene.

Deputies said 34-year-old Keshia Hartranft was inside the home and called 911 to report the home invasion. She told deputies that she was in a bedroom when the men stormed inside and when they brought her into the living room, they began firing shots at random.

Deputies said they found marijuana and Hydrocodone pills inside the home, arresting Hartranft.

When deputies arrived, they said the victim, 21-year-old Robert Merck was taken to the hospital for treatment, but he refused to cooperate with investigators.

Hartranft was charged with Possession of 28 grams or less of Marijuana First Offense and Manufacture or Possession of a Schedule I, II or III drug with intent to distribute First Offense. Deputies said they plan to charge Merck with the same counts once he is released from the hospital.
