SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Police are investigating two shootings in nearby Spartanburg neighborhoods after several apartments were left riddled with bullets this week.

Spartanburg police were first called to an apartment complex on Dover Road about 8:20 p.m. Tuesday after several people reported gunshots.

Police said they found several apartments damaged from gunshots fired from pistols and assault-rifles, counting more than 75 rounds fired. While no injuries were reported, police said there was damage including massive damage throughout one entire apartment.

One of the residents said they thought they saw two men dressed in black run away and get in a silver SUV headed towards St. Matthews Lane, according to police.

About four hours later, police were called to apartments on Vanderbilt Lane about a drive-by shooting. Police said they found several gunshots that struck one apartment, especially around the area of one victim's bedroom.

The victim told police that her boyfriend and his friends had some recent issues with another group of people and could have been targeted because of the relationship.

Police have not said if they believe the two shootings were connected.

Anyone with information about either shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
