GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Heavy rain is forecast to move into the western Carolinas by Thursday night, according to FOX Carolina Chief Meteorologist Kendra Kent.
Kent said showers will spread into the region by Thursday afternoon. She said the rain will increase in intensity and become more widespread by the night.
The rain will be cold with temps hovering around the upper 40s throughout the day, Kent said.
Kent said the skies should clear by mid-morning Friday with temperatures climbing to the upper 50s in the Upstate and lower 50s in the mountains.
Sunshine returns to the region by Saturday, with seasonably cool temps, Kent said.
Kent said the first part of next week will start off wet, with rain forecast Sunday through Wednesday.
