GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
One person was wounded during a home invasion and shooting at a Greenville home Thursday night.
The shooting happened about 8:30 p.m. at 339 Potomac Ave.
Greenville Police Media Relations Office spokesman Jonathan Bragg said someone knocked on the door of the home. He said that when someone at the home answered it, two people stormed inside. He said that the pair then grabbed a laptop.
On scene, Capt. Mike Madden said that there were three people inside the home, two adults and an 8-year-old child. He said during the home invasion there was a struggle and one of the thieves fired a shot, wounding a man.
The person who was shot was taken to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Bragg said.
The police department is searching for two suspects. Madden said he wasn't sure if they left on foot or in a vehicle.
Anonymous tips can be called into 23-CRIME.
