Deputies said the second man they arrested this week was the gunman in a 2011 double homicide in Taylors.
Greenville County deputies said 24-year-old Scott Lowe entered 204-A E. Lee Rd. armed with a gun with the intent to commit a crime on April 3, 2011. During the burglary, deputies said Lowe shot 30-year-old Christopher Porcoro, of Taylors, and 18-year-old Amber Daniel, of Greer.
Deputies said following the burglary and shooting, the home was set on fire.
Deputies had yet to make arrests in the case until Tuesday when with the help of U.S. Marshals, they first arrested 18-year-old Manuel Granados, of Swannanoa, NC, at a relative's apartment in Greenville.
"I thought it was him since day one," Amanda Porcoro, Christopher Porcoro's wife, told FOX Carolina this week. "I thought it was Scott Lowe since day one; I'm not surprised. I was surprised when they let him go so many times."
Later on Tuesday, deputies arrested Lowe. Both men were charged with murder and were being held without bond at the county detention center.
