A Hot Springs woman was arrested early Sunday morning after deputies said she killed her 6-month-old daughter.
Madison County Sheriff Buddy Harwood said Wednesday, 25-year-old Brandi Cochran called 911 and said her daughter, Kali, was having trouble breathing. He said the girl was flown to a Tennessee hospital for treatment, where doctors called authorities after noticing indications of child abuse.
Harwood said that Friday evening Kali died from traumatic brain injuries that were believed to have been suffered Tuesday night.
Brandi Cochran was charged with murder in connection with her daughter's death. She was being held at the county jail without bond.
