Sense Financial Services and Robert Hall & Associates partnered to sponsor successful seminar focused on investing with Individual 401k Plan and the Impact of Fiscal Cliff. Many attendees from various cities of Los Angeles County learned valuable information to help them better prepare for scheduled tax increases.
Glendale, CA (PRWEB) February 11, 2013
Financial planning seminar titled “Achieve Financial Success in 2013” held in Glendale on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 was a success. The event was focused on helping those in attendance to achieving financial success by learning and implementing the same strategies the wealthy use and attracted residents of Burbank, Pasadena, Los Angeles and other surrounding cities. Some of the strategies shared were tax planning as well as utilizing Individual 401k for sheltering income from taxes. Individual 401k Plan, which is also known as Solo 401k or Owner-Only 401k, is a Qualified Retirement Plan designed for those who are self-employed.
Tony Watson, Tax Consultant with Robert Hall & Associates, covered topics such as estate and gift tax, determining tax exemptions and deductions, asset protection, and effects of the fiscal cliff on real estate investing. Due to high demand, a second event will be held on February 12, 2013 in Orange County, Southern California.
The biggest surprise for many was the potential of a self-directed retirement plan to increase wealth. “The Ultimate Retirement Plan” segment presented by Sense Financial explained the Individual K or Solo 401k and its financial advantages. While most of the attendees were familiar with the traditional IRA and 401k retirement plans, self-directed Individual 401k plan was not one they were aware of.
Just like traditional 401k, Individual 401k is an IRS-approved plan. In fact, it is a conventional 401k plan that covers only the owner and a spouse; it was designed for the self-employed and small business owner. The most significant difference of the Solo 401k Plan is its benefits. Some of these benefits include high contribution limits, checkbook control, low cost to operate, loan feature giving plan participant the ability to borrow up to $50,000 against the plan.
The evening closed with a time of questions for the two speakers who share a background in financial planning, real estate and taxation. The speakers’ combined experience and expertise enabled them to answer questions with specific information and detailed help.
