Carnesville woman accused of killing infant

CARNESVILLE, GA (FOX Carolina) -

A Carnesville woman was arrested last week after deputies said she killed an infant.

Deputies said the child, who was 2 months old, was injured at a home on State Road 59 in Carnesville. They said the child was taken to a local hospital and then flown to a hospital in Atlanta for treatment, where the child died.

Deputies said they charged 21-year-old Cheyenne Burtch with murder and aggravated battery in connection with the child's death.
