2 killed, 1 injured in pair of Anderson Co. shootings

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Two people were killed and a third person was injured in two shootings that happened about an hour apart in Anderson County on Monday night.
The first shooting happened just after 9 p.m. near the intersection of Page Drive and Pearman Dairy Road.
Chad McBride, spokesman for the Anderson County Sheriff's Office, said a deputy was responding to the scene after reports of shots being fired. He said that when the deputy arrived, he found one person wounded, lying along the side of the road. He said a second victim was found in a home on Page Drive. He said both of those people succumbed to their injuries.
Anderson County Chief Deputy Coroner Charlie Boseman identified the victims as 40-year-old Christopher Hunter and 32-year-old James Sanford. He said Hunter died at a local hospital, while Sanford died at the scene.
