ITT Exelis on Interstate Drive in West Springfield is laying off 200 of the 235 employees that work there. The layoff goes into effect June 28.
Spokesman Jared Adams said 35 employees will get to transfer to other locations that aren't known right now.
Adams told CBS 3 the move comes because of anticipated reductions in U.S. defense spending. The company makes power supplies that are used overseas by the military.
Any of the 200 employees that choose to stay until the 28th will get a severance package and an additional $1,000 bonus.
