NC woman accused of stealing $67K from employer

HENDERSONVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies arrested a western North Carolina woman who was accused of taking more than $67,000 from her former employer.

Henderson County deputies said 45-year-old Sherry Gonda, of Pisgah Forest, embezzled at least $67,239.30 from Thompson Properties Incorporated, whom she used to work for.

Gonda was charged with five counts of embezzlement and one count of identity theft. She was released from jail on $15,000 bond.
