Abbeville police chief resigns

ABBEVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Abbeville police chief has resigned, according to city officials.

City Manager David McCuen said Chief Neil Henderson voluntarily resigned Tuesday, but could not discuss the reason behind the resignation because city does not "discuss personnel matters."

McCuen said Capt. Skipper O'Bannon was appointed acting chief.
