RALEIGH, NC (FOX Carolina) -

An Amber Alert that was issued Thursday afternoon for a missing 4-year-old North Carolina girl was canceled about an hour later after the girl was found.

The North Carolina Department of Public Safety said 4-year-old Cayley Owens was taken by 20-year-old Calem Owens.

A person who answered the phone at the Randolph County Sheriff's Office said Cayley had been found, but said he could not comment on her condition.

WGHP-TV reported that the child was safe and that the suspect was in custody.

The Greensboro television station reported that Calem Owens is accused of taking Cayley from her grandparent's Denton home at gunpoint.
