Knife-wielding woman holds up Canton store

Police say this women used a knife to rob a convenience store in Canton. (Feb. 13, 2013/FOX Carolina)

CANTON, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Canton police are looking for a knife-wielding woman who held up a convenience store Wednesday night.

The robbery happened about 8:30 p.m. at the Smokey Mountain Express.

Police said the masked woman hopped onto the counter, threatened the clerk with a knife, grabbed some cash and ran out of the store.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Canton Police Department at 828-648-2376.
