Missing Spartanburg woman found safe

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Spartanburg woman who police said was last seen buying groceries last week was found safe Tuesday.

Spartanburg police said Mary Smith was last seen at Biggerstaff Groceries on Farley Avenue on Feb. 5 at 6:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, police said Smith was found at her sister's house by deputies.

Smith told police that she did not realize that she had been reported missing. She said she just took a trip because she needed a break.
