No charges will be filed in the case against a Woodruff police officer after authorities said he shot and killed a pregnant woman in October.

State Law Enforcement Division agents were investigating the Oct. 25, 2012 shooting after a Woodruff police officer made a traffic stop on Jamie's Creek Drive, resulting in the woman's death.

Police said during the stop, a man inside the car got out and ran then a woman in the car, later identified as 28-year-old Lacey Lamb, tried to run over the officer.

That officer fired back, striking Lamb, killing her and her unborn child, according to police.

After a full investigation, a spokesperson for SLED said the officer will not be charged and their investigation is closed.
