GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A fire damaged a house in downtown Greenville on Wednesday evening.
The fire happened at 5:41 p.m. at the intersection of Perry Avenue and North Leach Street.
Pictures of the scene showed large plumes of smoke rising from the home with dozens of firefighters battling the blaze.
Firefighters said 12 people lived at the home and three people were inside when the blaze started.

The blaze appeared to have started in the living room, firefighters said. They said the fire may have been caused by a kerosene heater.
No one was injured in the blaze.
