A Brentwood man was arrested Thursday night in a multi-county iPad theft ring, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Ngoc Vo Ngo, 30, is charged with one count of theft between $1,000 and $10,000.

In August of 2012, the District Attorney General asked the TBI to investigate a theft ring where individuals were shoplifting iPads from area Walmarts and selling them to Ngo.

In an operation conducted Thursday, the TBI said Ngo bought nine iPads for $2,100 from law enforcement at Jennifer Nail salon on Ewing Drive in Nashville.

He was later arrested, booked into the Davidson County Jail and released on bond.

Police are still investigating the case.
