Columbus man accused of sex with minor

COLUMBUS, NC (FOX Carolina) -

A Columbus man was arrested Tuesday after deputies said he had sex with a minor.

Polk County deputies said they began investigating accusations made by the child against 44-year-old Anthony Briggs in January.

Briggs was charged with second-degree sexual offense with a minor, indecent liberties with a minor and crimes against nature. He was being held in the county jail on $20,000 bond.
