Too bad our weather can't remain as nice as this Sunday afternoon we have enjoyed.
Monday, for the most part, will be dry until late in the day. By late afternoon and especially after sunset, rain will come down. 100% probability where you live... literally in your backyard.
Tuesday morning, rain will also come down. So there's a 100% chance of AM rain where you live... literally in your backyard.
Not 80%... not 90%... 100%.
This won't leave any window of opportunity for you, as a viewer, to interpret that there might be a 10%-20% chance of it not raining.
Western NC High Elevation Snow - Low Elevation Snow Showers: Heavy snow bands will set up later this week in Western North Carolina once the arctic cold spills into our region Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This will lead to a prolonged snow event with high accumulations along the ridge tops for many Western NC communities.
At this time, the trough of cold air in the east and the ridge out west doesn't lead to any sort of storm development off the coast of the Carolinas. There's still just a slim chance of that happening, but I think the ridge out west will be nosed in too far east into the plains to allow for a favorable storm track for southern snow outside of Western NC upslope areas.
