Police have made an arrest after they said a man out walking with his girlfriend was attacked and stabbed by another man Thursday.
Union police said they found the victim at Wallace Thomson Hospital's emergency room with a severe stab wound to the chest. The victim and his girlfriend said they were walking along Chambers Avenue about 6:30 p.m. when 30-year-old Rogene Moorman came up on them, started fighting the victim and stabbed him, according to police.
As they struggled, the woman ran to get help, police said. They said the victim was later airlifted to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center because of his injuries.
Moorman was arrested Friday morning and charged with attempted murder.
