SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A man was found shot in the parking lot of a Spartanburg restaurant Monday afternoon.
The shooting happened at 2:13 p.m. at the Taco Bell restaurant near the intersection of Warren H. Abernathy Highway and Franklin Avenue.
Lt. Tony Ivey, of the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office, said someone inside the restaurant called for help after the shooting. He said arriving deputies found a man in a silver car in the parking lot, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Ivey said witnesses reported seeing a silver- or champagne-colored Chrysler 300 leaving the scene after the shooting.
The victim was unconscious when he was taken to the a local hospital for treatment, Ivey said.
