COLUMBUS, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies hope someone can identify two women seen on surveillance video connected to an identity theft case with Upstate and western North Carolina connections.

Polk County deputies said the women are accused of numerous counts of identity theft and obtaining property under false pretense.

Investigators said the women have frequented businesses in Polk County, Forest City and in Spartanburg County using a credit card not belonging to them.

Deputies said the woman may have ties to the Green Creek community in the southern part of Polk County based on where the card went missing and the purchases they made.

Anyone who can identify either or both of the women is asked to call Det/Sgt Randall R. Hodge with Polk County Sheriff's Office at 828-894-3001.
