ABBEVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
State investigators are looking into allegations involving the former Abbeville police chief.
A spokesperson for the State Law Enforcement Division said they were asked to investigate allegations involving former chief Neil Henderson. The state did not say what those allegations were.
Earlier in February Henderson resigned from his police chief post and was replaced by acting chief Capt. Skipper O'Bannon, according to City Manager David McCuen.
McCuen said Henderson voluntarily resigned on Feb. 12, but could not discuss the reason behind the resignation because city does not "discuss personnel matters."
