COLUMBIA, SC (AP) -

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney says his players have turned the page on their 11-win season last fall and are focused on accomplishing even bigger things this year.

The Tigers' 11-2 mark was its most victories since its 12-0, national championship season of 1981. Swinney said the returning team has worked hard so far in the off-season to continue its strong run. Clemson opens spring practice on March 6.

Clemson has just 10 senior scholarship players and Swinney says young players can at times have their heads swelled by success. Swinney does have disappointments from last season to build on. Clemson led Florida State 27-13 in the third quarter before falling 49-37, a defeat that cost the Tigers a shot at a second straight Atlantic Coast Conference championship.
