Two men have been arrested and a third man is wanted in connection with a shooting outside a Spartanburg restaurant Monday afternoon.
The shooting happened at 2:13 p.m. in the parking lot of the Taco Bell restaurant at the intersection of Warren H. Abernathy Highway and Franklin Avenue.
Lt. Tony Ivey, of the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office, said someone inside the restaurant called for help after the shooting. He said arriving deputies found a man in a silver car in the parking lot, suffering from a gunshot wound.
On Tuesday night, deputies said they arrested 19-year-old Tevin Thomas. On Tuesday afternoon, deputies said they arrested 27-year-old Reginald Sanders and issued warrants for the arrest of 24-year-old Robert Moore.
Ivey said eyewitnesses and evidence at the scene helped develop the three men as suspects in the case. He said it appears a dispute over drugs may have been the motive for the shooting.
According to arrest warrants, Thomas and Moore were responsible for the shooting, while Sanders tried to help Thomas avoid the consequences of the crime.
Thomas was being held in the county jail without bond. Sanders was scheduled to have a bond hearing as early as Wednesday night.
Anyone with information regarding Moore's whereabouts was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-CRIME-SC (888-274-6372). Ivey said Moore is considered to be armed and dangerous.
Thomas was also charged with receiving stolen goods after he sold a stolen laptop to a pawn shop, Ivey said. He said Thomas was also arrested two weeks ago in connection with a few burglaries in Spartanburg.
