ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Firefighters investigating an Anderson house fire Wednesday night said someone started the blaze.

Anderson County firefighters said an abandoned house on Plainview Road caught fire before midnight and witnesses told them they saw a man near the home before the blaze broke out.

Firefighters said no one was hurt.

Investigators later arrested a man, Jeffery Ewing, and charged him with third-degree arson in connection with the fire. He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday afternoon.
