ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

An Anderson County deputy was injured in a crash Friday morning that troopers said was caused by a medical condition.

Troopers said Deputy Jeremiah Jacobs was driving a sheriff's office Chevrolet Tahoe when he ran off Old Williamston Road and slammed into a power pole. The crash happened less than a half mile north of Anderson.

Jacobs was taken to AnMed Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuring.

Troopers said Jacobs had a medical condition that caused him to swerve off the right side of the road. No other vehicles were involved in the wreck.
