CONWAY, SC (AP/FOX Carolina) -
The suspect named in a shooting at Coastal Carolina University that killed a man earlier this week, turned himself in to authorities Friday, according to WMBF-TV.
State Law Enforcement Division spokesman Thom Berry said Friday agents were looking for 20-year-old Marquis Spencer McDonald in connection with a shooting that wounded 19-year-old Anthony Darnell Liddell, of Bennettsville, at a residence hall at the Conway school Tuesday night.
The Myrtle Beach-area television station reported Friday afternoon that SLED officials confirmed McDonald was in police custody.
After the shooting, campus police issued an alert urging students to stay in dorms and classrooms.
