When South Carolina and Clemson face off, it's a must have ticket for many fans.
And inside Clemson's Kingsmore Stadium Friday night, in a sea of orange, were glimpses of garnet and black.
Amanda Scealf bravely wore her Gamecock gear during the rivalry baseball game even though she was surrounded by Tiger fans.
"I'm hoping we kick their butts," Scealf said.
She and her friend Kayla Wilson, a Tiger fan, went to the start of the annual three-day Clemson vs. Carolina baseball series. And during this time, the two are more like frenemies.
"We still have our little spats here and there about who's going to win," Scealf said.
But, right now the bragging rights go to the Gamecocks. South Carolina won last year's series, but Wilson said it's a winning streak her Tigers are about to end. She called her Tiger trash talk "respectful."
"I'd say my blood runs orange," Wilson said.
Tiger fans at the concession stand also served up a whole lot of confidence with their "Road to Omaha Cheeseburger" and another special called "Kick that Chicken Sandwich."
"You always want to outdo (South Carolina) those guys," Robby Quinn said.
He's a Clemson fan who tries not to miss a baseball game at Kingsmore Stadium.
"Every pitch is intense because every pitch means something," Quinn said.
He would like to see his Tigers in Omaha at the College World Series, but knows his team could have to face the Gamecocks again this season.
"To win the whole thing would be nice, but to beat them would be good with me," Quinn said.
South Carolina beat Clemson in the series opener 6-0. Clemson is now 5-3, South Carolina is 7-1.
The series will continue on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Flour Field in Greenville and ends Sunday at Carolina Stadium in Columbia. That game starts at 3 p.m.
