MARIETTA, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A fire that destroyed a house in Marietta on Monday is under investigation, according to firefighters.
The fire happened about 2:45 p.m. at an abandoned house on Chestnut Ridge Road.
Firefighters said they arrived to find flames shooting from the home, but the blaze was quickly extinguished.
Investigators said the cause of the fire is considered suspicious since power was not connected to the home.
