CLEMSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -
The renewed rivalry between the Bulldogs and Tigers will take to the field under the lights in August.
Clemson University Athletics announced Tuesday that the Atlantic Coast Conference and Southeastern Conference have agreed to an 8 p.m. game time in Death Valley for the Clemson vs. Georgia game.
The two teams will face off Aug. 31 for the first of a two-game series that will travel to Athens in 2014.
The historic rivalry has not been put to the test since 2003 when the teams last faced each other. They played each other almost every season until 1987 and then on-and-off since then.
At the end of their 2012 seasons, both teams were ranked in USA Today's Top 10, with Georgia fourth with a 12-2 record and Clemson ninth with an 11-2 season.
The Aug. 31 game will be televised on ABC.
