GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Deputies said they have arrested two of three suspects wanted in connection with an attempted robbery at a local clothing store where a worker was bound with duct tape.
Greenville County deputies said Feb. 16, several men entered ATL Fashions on Poinsett Highway, two of whom were armed with gun, and held several people at gunpoint and duct taped one worker during an attempted robbery.
When a family member walked into the store, the men fled before they could steal anything, deputies said.
On Feb. 22, deputies identified the first suspect as 18-year-old Marquis Blassingame and said he was wanted on charges of attempted armed robbery, kidnapping, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and criminal conspiracy.
On Tuesday, deputies said they had made two more arrests in the case. Michael Lee, 17, was arrested Feb. 25 and Ali Alatif, 26, was arrested March 1.
Both were charged with one count of attempted armed robbery, four counts of kidnapping, one count of criminal conspiracy and one count of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. They are being held at the count jail without bond.
Deputies said they are still investigating the attempted robbery and have yet to arrest Blassingame.
Anyone with information on the case of Blassingame's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 864-23-CRIME.
