ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -
An elderly Pendleton woman was killed and her husband was injured in a crash in Anderson on Wednesday morning.
The two-vehicle crash happened about 11:15 a.m. at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. and Civic Center boulevards.
Lt. Tony Tilley, of the Anderson Police Department, said the driver of a car, identified by Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore as 91-year-old Nora Elliot, made a left turn onto MLK Jr. Boulevard into the path of another vehicle and was hit.
Tilley said Elliot died at a local hospital. Shore said Elliot's 88-year-old husband was in an intensive care unit being treated for a broken neck.
The driver of the second vehicle was not injured, Tilley said.
Elliot was wearing a seat belt, Shore said.
