GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

School district officials said a school bus was taken off the roads Thursday morning after smoke was seen onboard.

Greenville County Schools spokesperson Oby Lyles said smoke was seen coming from the back of a school bus with one student onboard.

Lyles said fire was suspected but not detected by firefighters when the bus stopped along Green Avenue near Greenville High School. He said no flames were seen.

A spokesman for the South Carolina Department of Education said the injector on the bus got stuck, causing smoke to come out, but there was no fire.

The school bus was towed to the Taylors-area bus lot and no one was injured, Lyles said.
