Mild Morning: Temperatures started the day in the 40s and even low 50s for a few areas. Despite the clouds, most towns will stay dry through the early half of the day with only a few spotty showers possible in Western NC this morning.
Comfortable Temperatures: We'll enjoy another mild day before the bulk of this rain comes down. Highs will reach the low 60s for Upstate & NE Georgia towns while Western NC towns make it into the upper 50s to near 60°.
Late Day Rain: Aside from the possibility a few spotty rain showers around midday (especially across Western NC), the bulk of today's rain will move in during the late afternoon and evening. Most of it will fall between 5pm and midnight so that may mean you'll have to drive on some wet roads this evening. A few thunderstorms are also possible, but severe weather is unlikely.
Sunshine Returns Tomorrow: There won't be much cold air behind this system/front. Temperatures will rise into the 60s area-wide on Tuesday. Expect a lot of sunshine after clouds decrease tomorrow morning.
Cooler conditions will be with us on Wednesday, but so will the sunshine. Then, by Thursday and Friday, some warmer temperatures will settle back in as highs return into the 60s.
