2 Ohioans charged after troopers seize heroin, cash
(Toledo News Now) -
Two Ohioans are facing charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized heroin and cash following a traffic stop in Pickaway County.
Troopers stopped a Honda Civic for a failure to yield violation on U.S. Route 23 near milepost 20 Friday at 6:23 p.m. Criminal indicators were observed and a Pickaway County Sheriff's Office drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle.
A probable cause search revealed 5 grams of heroin and $13,942 in cash.
The driver, Steven Harley, of Piketon, OH, was charged with driving under suspension. The passenger, Lauretta McQueen, of Chillicothe, OH, was incarcerated in the Ross County Jail and charged with possession of heroin, which is a fourth-degree felony.
