SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

One person was injured in a shooting at a Spartanburg home Monday afternoon, according to deputies.

The shooting happened at 1140 Hayne St.

Lt. Tony Ivey, of the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office, said responding deputies found that there was a disagreement between the home's resident and people in a car at the home. He said the resident fired shots at the car, and one person was wounded.

Neighbors told FOX Carolina they believe about a dozen shots were fired.

Ivey said the wounded person was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but the person's condition was not immediately released.

Pictures of the scene showed crime scene tape blocked off half of a building that appeared to be a duplex, and several evidence markers around the scene.

Ivey said the investigation of the shooting continues.
