DUNCAN, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg County dispatchers said a school bus was involved in a wreck near the Byrnes Freshman Academy on Tuesday morning.

Dispatchers said the wreck happened along Rowe Street near South Dantzler Road.

Spartanburg District Five's Superintendent Dr. Scott Turner said a car driving slowly rear-ended the bus.

He said there were four students onboard at the time of the wreck, but no one was injured and the students were already in class as of 8:20 a.m.

Turner said the bus suffered barely minor damage.

Dispatchers said paramedics, police and firefighters responded to the scene. A FOX Carolina iWitness sent in photos that showed the school bus stopped along the side of the road.

The Freshman Academy is located near both Byrnes High School and Beech Springs Intermediate.
