CHARLESTON, SC (AP) -

Something big is on tap at the Port of Charleston.

Workers at the port will unload 28 beer brewing tanks Tuesday, some of them large enough to hold 3,200 kegs of beer. The tanks were made in Germany and are on their way to North Carolina.

Last year, Sierra Nevada Brewing announced that it would build a new brewery in Mills River, about a dozen miles south of Asheville.

The tanks will be loaded onto trucks for the 250-mile trek to the brewery site in North Carolina.

The new brewery is expected to open next year.
